DRUG INTERACTIONS:

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Contraindicated with sirolimus - Schisandra increases concentrations

in the blood which increases the risk of adverse effects.

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Caution with immunosuppressant medication given the immune

stimulating nature of the formula.

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Caution with drugs metabolised by the CYP3A4 enzyme - Schisandra

may potentiate the effects. Monitor.

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Caution with midazolam (benzodiazepine) - Schisandra increases

the amount of drug in the body, increasing the risk of side effects.

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Caution with heart or blood pressure medications, including Digoxin -

concurrent use with Siberian ginseng may increase drug effects.

CAUTIONS:

‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ƒƒ‚‚‚ • Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding as specific

safety data is lacking.

SIDE EFFECTS:

documented in hypertensive patients when using Siberian ginseng.

However, a causal relationship to the use of Siberian ginseng has not
